Bus route times for the upcoming school year.....
Important information for Rattan School parents:
Due to an increase in transportation costs, Rattan School has reduced the number of bus routes from 5 down to 4 for the 2026-2027 school year. The bus routes that previously served students along highways 93 and 147 have been merged into one route. In the coming weeks, we will be providing new pickup and drop off times to the students riding the consolidated route. The other 3 routes (highway 3 east, highway 3 west, and Cloudy) will see very little change. The district will work diligently to minimize the impact on students. The changes that have been implemented will allow the district to provide Air Conditioned Buses on all of the routes. Thank you for your support and understanding.
Rattan Schools is accepting applications for a JH teacher/HS assistant softball coach. Preferred teaching field is math or science. To apply, please send your resume to Russell Baze at rusbaze@rattan.k12.ok.us or drop it off at the superintendent's office.
Rattan School will be dismissing at 1:30pm on Thursday, May 21.
Weekly Bulletin
The Rattan School regular board meeting scheduled for this evening has been canceled. The Rattan Board of Education will meet in a special meeting this Wednesday, January 14th at 6:00pm in the HS library.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a Rattan High School student. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this very difficult time. Please pray for this family. The family also suffered the loss of their home and, as a school and community, we want to do whatever we can to help. If you would like to donate material goods to help with things that were lost in the fire, you can drop off your donation at the elementary school. The lobby doors of the elementary are unlocked and you may place items inside the building. The school will make arrangements to deliver the items to the family. We want to help with material thigs at this time but will be seeking financial assistance for the family in the coming days.
Tonight's HS basketball game vs Smithville has been cancelled and rescheduled for December 18th.

The Rattan Elementary Book Scholastic Book Fair will be October 13th-115th from 8:00-3:00. Family Night will be October 15th from 4:00-6:00pm.
